Interim senior pastor and Pastor of Family Ministry
Kristi Smith
Kristi is a Portland native who feels blessed to call the beautiful Pacific Northwest home. She earned a bachelor degree in Biblical Studies and Educational Ministries from Multnomah University, and has been involved with student ministry either vocationally or as a volunteer for the past 20 years. Kristi is passionate about cultivating Christian community and walking alongside others in pursuit of Christ. If she is not chatting or playing games with friends and family, you will often find Kristi at a scenic spot with her camera in hand.

Director of Worship and Music
Greg Rice
Greg is an Oregon native. He attended Oregon State University. While there, he taught himself guitar and started doing music for Bible studies and small groups on campus. When he moved back to Portland after graduating from OSU, he was church shopping. His best friend was attending First Covenant Church in Portland and was co-leading the college group, so Greg started attending the college group and doing music there. He started attending Sundays at First Covenant shortly after and has been a member since 2004. During his time there, he was an intern for 2 years under the Worship Pastor at the time, Matt Anderson, where he learned the importance of intentionality in planning a worship service. When Matt moved on, he was the interim worship director at First Covenant for a year and continued to be on the team thereafter, leading from time to time when needed. Also during his time at FCC, he met his "wicked awesome" wife and have been blessed with two amazing daughters, Aiyana and Kiara. "We have enjoyed our time at MCC and look forward to worshiping with you all in the future."

Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper
Sharmon Martin
Sharmon is a native Oregonian, born in The Dalles and grew up in Milwaukie. Sharmon’s varied careers have included banking, in home childcare, special education assistant, summer camp food service and business manager, and administrative assistant/bookkeeper at MCC. Sharmon attended Clackamas Community College and received her Associates of General Studies and Instructional Assistant Certificate in 2006 and her Administrative Assistant Certificate in 2018. She married the love of her life, Steve, in 1977 and they joined Milwaukie Covenant Church in 1980. Steve and Sharmon have three children and five grandchildren. Her hobbies are reading historical fiction, quilting, knitting and machine embroidery. Sharmon and Steve enjoy time with their grandkids, camping and traveling as their children live in McMinnville and Enterprise, Oregon, and Wyoming.
