Confirmation
What is Confirmation?
Confirmation is an opportunity for students to explore the foundations of the Christian faith. Students will learn about how the Bible fits together, and discover what it has to say about God, ourselves and the word. It is a two-year class (Sept - June) overviewing both the Old and New Testaments. At the end of the class, students will be invited to affirm their faith in a confirmation ceremony during the worship service.
Who should participate?
Early adolescents: middle and early high school students are the target. Both students raised in the faith or exploring it are welcome.
What am I committing to?
Attend Regularly - Classes build upon each other and are only 50 minutes long so regular, prompt attendance will help ensure success!
Scripture/Prayer - Students will be encouraged to spend 5 - 10 minutes 5 days/week reading Scripture and prayerfully responding to it. This is our goal.
