Director of Worship and Arts
Greg is an Oregon native. He attended Oregon State University. While there, he taught himself guitar and started doing music for Bible studies and small groups on campus. When he moved back to Portland after graduating from OSU, he was church shopping. His best friend was attending First Covenant Church in Portland and was co-leading the college group, so Greg started attending the college group and doing music there. He started attending Sundays at First Covenant shortly after and has been a member since 2004. During his time there, he was an intern for 2 years under the Worship Pastor at the time, Matt Anderson, where he learned the importance of intentionality in planning a worship service. When Matt moved on, he was the interim worship director at First Covenant for a year and continued to be on the team thereafter, leading from time to time when needed. Also during his time at FCC, he met his “wicked awesome” wife and have been blessed with two amazing daughters, Aiyana and Kiara. “We have enjoyed our time at MCC and look forward to worshipping with you all in the future.”
